Economics of Aviation Climate Change: We All Gave Up (Financial Times)

The problem is that the climate cost of aviation is largely invisible to consumers and often underpriced in policy frameworks. Cleaner fuels and offsetting can help but they are not silver bullets. Sustainable aviation fuel is still expensive and supply is limited. Offsets are inconsistent and do not directly eliminate emissions. Simply reversing passenger growth is politically toxic because it conflicts with economic narrative and voter expectations.
