It is a crime to enter a country illegally. Another word for that is “invade”.

That means every person who enters a country illegally and remains living there in violation of the law is a criminal.

Actually, being in the country without documents is a civil offense unless you have previously been deported. So it's you who doesn't understand the truth bud.
