Yes, there were walking and biking competitions. Join up next season, but be warned, top 2 in walking comp are serious business. They both walked over 500km during the comp.
Maybe @TheWildHustle can expand @RUNSTR to do the same kind of challenges that @Workit_LN was doing.
There's definitely demand for it.

TheWildHustle really wants to make something cool for the community. He'll provide more info later......he's bullish.

Life is good.
If you were to use RUNSTR, what do you think would be your highest priority features.
RUNSTR currently has
  • An activity Tracker
  • Users can create teams
  • Users can challenge each other to 1v1 competitions
  • Teams can create events
Any thoughts?

What Workit was doing, that many of us were enjoying, is creating challenges with buy-ins: i.e. everyone pays in 10k sats for a challenge to hit 10k steps everyday for a week and those who accomplish the challenge split the pot.
It's a super simple but powerful commitment device to help people hit their activity goals.

They arent doing it anymore?
Did they have a step counter in the app?
reply
Yes, they had a step counter.
The challenges still happen but the stakes are uselessly low because they haven't fixed a security vulnerability and aren't comfortable handling significant amounts of value.

I would really love for Runstr to support Garmin sync so I don't have to carry my phone in order for the run to get recorded in Runstr. I think I requested it before and you told me it has something to do with privacy or something along the lines. But if you can somehow make it work, it will make using Runstr so much more convenient.
