That's really sad to see. It sucks that so many loyal fans are going to be priced out. Especially existing season ticket holders not getting any break on the price increase. I'd hope for some kind of grandfathered-in pricing model for existing holders.
I saw a similar headline for the World Cup next year: most loyal fans will be priced out.
I don’t agree but let’s pretend this is true. What is a more fair alternative besides price controls? A stadium has 66000 seats. How many fans does a team have? 1 million?
I am a season ticket holder in Los Angeles. I went to one game last year. Sold all the other seats on seat geek or Ticketmaster. Only reason I went to Packers at Rams last year is that my friend had field level seats and complimentary.
I forgot to mention I am a chargers season ticket holder and the only home game I attended was the Rams.
Btw the best stadium experience is the soccer stadium in Carson formerly known as stub hub stadium. No bad seat and the best stadium food: artisanal and independent vendors including funnel cake
