A little history:
2019 (Austin, TX)– The very first BTC++ was an intimate, code-heavy hackathon where legendary Bitcoin devs collaborated on Lightning Network tools and privacy tech.
2021 (Berlin) – Shifted towards multi-day workshops and talks, with strong focus on cross-layer Bitcoin smart contracts and integrating Rust development in Bitcoin ecosystems.
2022 (Austin again) – More than half the event was hackathon-style, resulting in open-source tools like LNlink and privacy-focused wallet plugins.
2023 (Berlin) – Went truly global; panels included cutting-edge covenants research, Bitcoin scripting proposals, and interactive Lightning gaming experiences.
Lesser-known fact: BTC++ has no corporate agenda – it’s entirely by and for Bitcoin devs, cypherpunks, and privacy advocates, often leading to actual code commits and working products during or shortly after the event...
Ah shoot, I meant to forward sats on this to @ek.
Go zap him, not this post.
(Or he could make a comment here and we can just zap that)
you just reminded me of another thing I should mention in my presentation
Are you gonna squeeze time out to visit the Spy Museum in Berlin?
Congrats! Don’t lose sleep over it!
not sure yet, can't imagine it currently
Break a leg!
Too late. Zap him
Why not do both? xP
This is amazing @ek! Every stacker should be proud, I sure am.

How about a cowboy hat like the one @k00b rocks on SNL? Ahaha
Big congrats and crush those speeches!
thank you!
Congratulations @ek! Not too shabby. A speaking gig at the best bitcoin conference.
thanks, trying hard to not blow it!
You have the seemingly unusual combination of technical ability and an articulate, persuasive personality.
regarding technical ability:
i'm currently failing to move the SVG around instead of the background
edit: oh lol, I need to click on the lines in the SVG, not just into the box
Or select "Move the active layer" on the left.
oh, thanks, will try!
lol, this is new to me
thanks!
Remember the old hint about public speaking: picture everyone in the room naked.
Oh, haha, thanks, that might help!
So far, I only pictured everyone locked in the room with me
Will this be live streamed? I’d like to watch from afar
I think bitcoin++ has live streams
+1
Congrats @ek, this is gonna be epic! I think SN wins with this as well. @k00b better give you a yellow cowboy hat! Ah
Go @ek!

Sucks there's not one with a plane!
Nice congrats @ek
