@BlokchainB says George Kittle is always hurt.

Here are the stats.

Kittle has played in 113 out of a possible 132 regular season games over 8 seasons. 4 of which he missed because they were the last game of the season and it didn't matter as the 49ers had already locked up their seed or were eliminated from the playoffs.

Kittle has played in 12/12 playoff games.

For a total of 125 games out of a possible 144. Or 86.8% of games.

Is this a player that is always hurt?

He’s always on smelling salts

reply

Better than bath salts

reply

Sometimes he seems like he mixed up his normal salts with bath salts

reply

I can't argue with that.

I can't argue with that.

Tight Ends are 'always' hurt

they have to pass block, run block, catch passes in the slot or middle of the field

TE requires high football IQ

reply

Greg Olsen: a rookie or young QB should always target his TE

Hunter Henry was a big reason for Justin Herbert's success as a rookie. He would tell him if he missed open receivers or audibled into the wrong play

reply

What is this nonsense! I haven’t listened to cowherd in years!!

reply

Well you don't have to throw a stone very far to hit a sport media member who is going to tell you the 49ers are all old and injury prone and they didn't like their draft and they shouldn't have signed Purdy etc etc.

In the end they might all be right. Or not.

reply

I was going off my own volition! How many times does kittle show up on the injury report as questionable

reply

Probably quite a bit. He is a physical player and spends half the game blocking guys. I am sure he is banged up all the time.

reply

You are blowing up my notifications today!

reply

It's game day. Haha

reply

Tuesday morning quarterback

reply

Yeah that's too bad. He really hasn't tended to miss chunks of games other than the one year he missed half the season, so that was bad timing after I defended his resilience. It's the NFL sometimes guy pull hamstrings. Hopefully he will be back week 6 after the mini bye (week 5 is a Thursday night game so they get 10 days between 5-6)

reply

Lol...I missed this poll :) But I agree totally (100%) with @blockchain ....I think also George Kittle is always hurt!

reply

Oh man. This poll didn’t age well. He got hurt in the first game.

Friends don't let friends watch Cowherd

Hurt doesn't mean out

I know it is kind of brazen to point this out to our friend @chrisliss who calls Kittle George Brittle, while Kittle is on the IR after getting hurt on the first drive of the season but I am going to do it anyways. After this IR stint he will still have played in 84.5% of games in his career. Maybe it's trending in the wrong direction but the "he is always hurt narrative" is ridiculous. He actually plays TE, not slot WR like Bowers or Kelce, he mixes it up with DEs and LBs, he is going to get banged up.

I am on a mission to correct all your bad 49ers takes Chris.
