Just finished my reading and prayer for today
Today's reading:
  • Genesis from 10 to 18
  • Psalm 2
My plan is to keep reading everyday, no excuses, from Genesis to Revelations and try to finish it in under one year. And then, do it again and again and again until my time here is over and God calls me home :)
Of course, I'll have to do all that and still make time for regular bible studies (we do that on Wednesdays at my local church), Sunday School and Worship service every week

I think I will join your journey by posting something from each of the sections you've read.
Genesis 15:6 says "And Abram believed the Lord and it was counted to him as righteousness." God then proceeds to seal the covenant unilaterally by walking through the cut animals while Abram slept. Paul references this event in Romans 4:3, thus showing that salvation through Christ is a unilateral act of God, one that is received by faith in the heart of the believer, and not through any works of their own.

Exactly!
The author of Hebrews also make it pretty clear that salvation comes through faith in Christ alone. In their (Abraham, Moses, etc) case, faith in the the Messiah who was to come.

No, He is not!
He lives and the sooner you realize that, the better. I'm praying for at this very moment and there's nothing you can do about that 😁
God is only a prayer away. Get to your knees now, repent (turn from sin) and trust Jesus took the punishment for your sins so you could have eternal life with Him

Nice story, but religion is just how you are herded into a compliant population.
Christian nations imposed their will upon the planet killing and enslaving millions to subdue them to their empires.
If your Christian faith is the only true faith then all others are incorrect, and that enslaving and killing is justified.

Yes, biblical Christianity is the only true religion and all others are incorrect. Just because there are many other religions in the world, it doesn't make them true or false by default. What make them true or false is what they are rooted on.
Only Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. There's no other way to the Father except through Him

I think more people should read Genesis.
Eve's eating of the fruit of the tree of the Knowledge of good and evil resulted in a reduction in Women's power and reduced the subtle Serpent to crawling in the dirt.
This was because the next logical step for Eve was to eat from the tree of Life.
God warned somebody that Eve would become immortal and "become like us".
