Another month goes by I stack more sats using bisq

Just curious what are the best ways people onboard close friends with out wierding them out. I don't want to be the guy that constantly brings it up but do want to introduce my friends to real Bitcoin, not what they hear on the news. Any examples or advice is greatly appreciated

Tipcards.io is an easy first touch point to get them holding sats. Don’t try and orange pill in one session, but slowly keep conversation going over a few meetings. Ask questions, let them come to the answer at their own pace.

I just finish Villareal vs Real Madrid, Villareal won the game 2 - 1 taking Madrid off the table top. I'm an avid football fan so such game bring me thrill, especially an offset.

Enough of Science and of Art;
 Close up those barren leaves;

Come forth, and bring with you a heart

That watches and receives.

Got pulled over for speeding this morning on the way to work.
I'll never understand why they ticket people for speeding and not the idiots who drive slow in the fast lane that cause all of the traffic and road rage.
reply
Sucks. Got a ticket for overtaking someone who was driving way below the speed limit. Had been driving behind him/her for ages and when I finally had an opening I floored it to get past. It was downhill and everything so i managed to get way above fast. Guess who was at the bottom clocking that excact moment. Sad
reply
So aggravating how much traffic is artificially created by people who have no sense to pull over to the right when not moving with the flow of traffic.

Working to pay off more bills with my Fold card to get free sats back on mortgage and utility bills through PayPal.

Got it working with double cash (2%) and costco visa (4% gas/3% restaurants) - great way to get an additional 1.5-2% on top and stretch purchasing power a bit.
Also found a workaround using phone payments allows me make free debit card loan payments in $1250 chunks and get $25 chunks of sats back that takes the sting off a bit.
Stacked over 0.1 BTC now on there. Sad they took away the dumb VR game, was a nice easy way to get 3 extra spins a day. They also recently nuked the chances of spinning the monthly spend back which kind of sucks.

Why is nobody talking about the potential of US going to 5%+ interest rates this year. Powell would do it just for the laughs. Hes gonna do it. But let's see.

Good morning gang, it's a great Saturday today, just having my morning brew of coffee and catching up on the daily news, it seems there is a lot of talk about crypto but seems people still think BTC is the same, they're two different entities and people should understand that, but alas some are too stubborn, the positive side? Good, more for us. Anyways have a phenomenal weekend and be amazed by this little blue marble, be well my friends and stay frosty!!

Donetsk is Ukraine. And Ukraine isn't shelling civilians. But feel free to go investigate for yourself in person whom Ukraine is mowing down with artillery:
(I'll give you a hint: It's your fellow genocidal Russian imperialists)
It would be awesome to have a cheese fondue powered by sats

I have been accumulating satoshis! Finally got about 10,200 sats and used them to buy a $2 GrabFood voucher on the Zebedee app, a purchase made possible by Bitrefill. I didn’t even know Bitrefill has partnerships with my local version of UberEats. Got 101 sats cashback from Bitrefill for this purchase. Just having fun with the Lightning Network ⚡️!
reply
Messing around with small amounts on the Lightning Network is fun. I have been doing that a lot lately. It's a great way to learn. I have been using LNTXBOT on telegram, the SN wallet, my fountain wallet, my nostr wallet. The potential of LN is exciting.

When will btc-incentivized Bittorrent become a thing?
reply
Okay so ignore invar the idiot.
Do you want bitcoin incentivized bittorrent? How many peers would you pay to host a file? How many sats each?
How are bids and asks for peer to host for an amount of uptime communicated?
Upon settlement, would you open an ln channel to each peer hosting the file? Or would you go through an LSP
These are all sort of developer questions, but they're also questions a developer should ask a user about this kind of thing. What do you as the user want this experience to be like?
reply
As a user I am prepared to pay for a streamed movie or audio. One click to accept the price and then the streaming starts. Similar experience as paying for podcasts with LN.
Some people in LA were developing something along these lines but apparently stopped. Hollywood pressure maybe.
reply
Never and that should raise some red flags. Bitcoin just isn't good enough. It's sound, sure, but it's not light. It's not feasable as a protocol for money transactions because noone can really run it. and it's layer2 is not either caus u still need ro run l1 for that. But let's see.

@k00b why do you keep removing my responses to Russian disinformation, but leaving the disinformation up?
