I tried Lemmy, but it's just too much focused on socialism, communism and marxism in my opinion. I know that you can run your own, but the ideology just leaks here and there...

the context in which a message is placed
and the manner in which the message is conveyed
is part of the message contents itself.
in this case, the message being on and transported by Lemmy (an ideological technology), impacts the message contents.

I thought he was going to recommend mailing lists.
Stuff like Lemmy mainly sucks because you don’t own your account and the server administration is way less professional than an email service.
If not a mailing list, why not take a leap into a bolder direction like Urbit, or even something like Ansiwave tbh.
