The really big institutional investors always go for retail money...based on the law of large numbers, they have much more, and that's how they manipulate the market. According to an acquaintance of mine, all economic crises are created by institutional investors, and this is so that "money moves from the pockets of stupid people (retail) to the pockets of smart people (institutional investors)" :)
