OK, if one is going the eSIM route after usually just getting a short term international plan, that person should be prepared to use Signal, Facetime, WhatsApp, Telegram, or stuff like that for calls, correct?
What does one do for emergency services? In the event of an emergency, it seems like important time would be wasted experimenting with whether or not the country code needs to be plugged in. I'm sure lots of stackers use eSIMs for data all the time. How's that work? Are all calls then treated as international?
