This week we head to Olympic Peninsula, where Olympic National Park is located, and visit Hold in the Wall near Rialto Beach. This is not to be confused with the other Hold in the Wall located on Vancouver Island in Canada #513131. This is more of a walk than a hike, as the whole path / trail is just walking along the beach by the sea. It is an easy 5km out-and-back walk with no elevation gain, but walking on loose pebble the entire way. We visited in May 2022, so the weather was still relatively cold and windy. The waves were pretty big on the day we visited. We eventually reach an area with lots of large rocks. There indeed was a big hole in one of the large stone wall. As we reached the hole, we saw many living things in tidepools on the rock surfaces. Kids had fun finding and observing wild sea/beach creatures.
