you beat me to it by 4 seconds...

When you click post, it should check for duplicates and let you know if there’s already one. People keep posting the same thing just seconds apart. cc/ @k00b @ek

I think what happens is that I spent 10 minutes writing a little synopsis and started writing before you actually posted your link, so maybe it only shows up in the dupes check if the post is actually live. When you clicked post, i still hadn't actually posted it. the result is that neither of us saw a dupe because the other hadn't actually posted our post when we started writing the post.

Thing is, two people might be writing the same link and no one gets a heads-up. They could’ve both hit 'start post' at the same time.

however, it might just be horrible UX to be working on a post and then suddenly see a red dupe notification. Talk about stress inducing. It may be worth the odd edge case to leave it as is.
A quick check when click 'post' and a pop-up would fix the problem. Should take like 20 minutes to implement. No?
Ohhhh, well 😀 Will zap your post 🥳

well, my secret plan is to get btcpp insider edition posting all their stuff natively here so I don't have to go find it...

Cool stuff coming out of Bitcoin++. Need to keep a closer eye on those, they don't seem to generate the same attention as other confs (less flashy for the Bitcoin influencers to showcase I suppose).
Saw a post fly by my feed about folks working on non custodial cashu tech too at the hackathon. Neat stuff.
