Congrats. It was such an epic comeback and Spain failed me so I am completely ignoring the fact that the game did not in fact end in a draw.
By selecting draw you essentially give yourself both teams if it goes to penalty kicks. Seems like a loophole that should be corrected for next year but it was a lot of fun.

I think it must be something like the match ended in a draw but the round was decided on kicks.

I think allowing the 1-1 score makes sense because the match after extra time did end 1-1 but England won not draw, whoever that is. So it seems odd to get 3 points for picking the winner that wasn’t the match outcome.
Anyways however carresan wants to score his contest is cool with me. It was an epic comeback.

Noted. I will review it for contests commencing in September. We still need to consider the draw as it is an outcome, but I will change the rules when it comes down to a final or eliminatory so that it does not confuse the contest.
I must admit that I did not expect that the pool were going to be decided at the very last minute of the last match after 2 months. This has added a lot of fun!

Yes agree draw needs be a viable option to choose for when draws are a potential outcome and I do think it makes sense in this case for someone to be able to select a draw score as the scoring for penalties is tallied separately but I am not sure it makes sense to be able to select draw and receive points for the game winner when the game can’t end in a draw.
On one hand it is kind of fun because it gives the third place player a Hail Mary to go for but it should be stated going into the final because maybe user21M would have liked to have chosen draw but he probably didn’t think it was possible.
