The Belgian Laekenois is one of the oldest varieties of Belgian Shepherd Dogs, originally bred as working dogs. It originates from the Laeken region of Belgium. Belgian Laekenois dogs were known as excellent watchdogs and protection dogs as early as the late 19th century, as they are easy to train.
