In my humble opinion, solar energy will be the most efficient energy in the future. The installation costs are not too high, and the payback period is relatively short. And the maintenance costs are...ridiculously low.
It depends on the system yes the sun is the greatest source of energy but we need better tech to harvest it. Panels are still on mass inefficient
