I highly recommend Cryptonomicon and The Baroque Cycle (trilogy) as well. If you're into investing or economics at all, The Baroque Cycle is really interesting

I enjoyed Snow Crash (it was the first Stephenson book I read). Cryptonomicon is also great, but it's pretty long. I've read some of his more fantasy kind of stuff but didn't enjoy it very much.

Bitcoiners should start with Cryptonomicon

I love Snow Crash, but at the time, it was also one of two of his books that were available. I think Cryptonomicon is probably his best, but Snow Crash may still be a better point of entry.

Not sci-fi, but his essay on "In The Beginning Was The Command Line" was considered one of the great pro-linux pieces of the late 90s. Not sure how well its aged, but it was good at the time.

For his SciFi, Snow Crash is his classic, but personally I think I preferred Cryptonomicon.
