Probably won't produce a cheaper product but is good for a better distributed market.

One would assume they’ve done the business analytics to determine that it should be possible to produce them at a comparable price, factoring in tariffs. Otherwise why would they do it?

Do the Chinese know something... there will probably be a "loophole" when everything will be duty-free (for 1-2 weeks), and by then they should be ready with the ASICs....then they just have to ship it to the USA, and business is done! ;)
