The cost to send them below the Commies and that tier of teams was too great in my view so I am focused on keeping them out of the top 3. I just pushed them to 6 for fun. I don't want to keep the Lions propped up. I need to see if the Lions are still really good without any coaches other than a head cheerleader.,
Whatever analysis I did while reporting the draft, Lions seemed to me like a double edge knife. They'll either go long in the legue or be subsided pretty early. It'll be a big year for Chiefs, Ravens, 49ers, commies, Bengals. There are some underdogs who'll replace Eagles for sure and Bills (can't be so sure) out of equation. Bookmark it.

I don't like the Bengals strategy of not caring about defense. Their offense will be great again but not upgrading on defense, having your best defensive player hold out and releasing your best linebacker seems like an odd strategy. I guess they are counting on the new DC to work with what they have. I want to be higher on the Bengals but unless Lamar Jackson gets hurt I don't think they have any hope at winning the division and if they are a playoff team they are going to end up on the road against Ravens, Bills or Chiefs with no ability to play defense. Yikes. I do hope they have a good season though because the Burrow-Chase-Higgins trio is amazing to watch and I would like them to be relevant again.
Speaking of donkeys. I think I am higher on the team @Undisciplined calls the donkeys than I am on the Bengals.

We'll see. Hendrickson + Stewart might prove enough but you can be right if shemar leaves Bengals.

Shemar hasn't even signed yet and he is a rookie that has tons of upside but needs a lot of development. I wouldn't be counting on him to be a major contributor this year.
reply
Yeah rookie but I thought he could play a big role for Bengals. But now I guess it's over for them.
reply
He will probably sign but it's a distraction and an impairment to his development. He might be the best athlete in the draft but he needs a lot of work and honestly a lot of teams questioned his on field work ethic and desire to play so we will see if he proves them wrong.
Their best LB is ours now.
Giving them similar odds to the Commies, seems about right. All gas, no breaks.

Has Shemar gone?
reply
I don't know what's going on there. He's holding out, but he's a rookie, so he's not going anywhere.
reply
I guess he could refuse to sign and sit out the year and go back into the draft next year.
We haven't talked about it but pretty much the entire second round draft class is unsigned right now. There are a total of 38 drafted players that have yet to sign and 30 of them are 2nd rounders. Worth a mention on the pod maybe.
Well Pete values defense unlike the Bengals for some reason. Bengals seem to hate investing in OLine as much as the 49ers but also in defense too. They plan to beat everyone 41-38.
