I do care about the Toronto Raptors, and I don't think they suck. They have a solid young core with decent young talent and great potential. No, they are not a contending team, but I'm still excited to see what this group of young guys can grow into. I think they at least deserved to be talked about, but then they're a Canadian team, so I guess not.
I'm still having hopes of Masai working his magic to bring Giannis to The North, although Houston is probably the final trade destination. I would trade Jalen Green and a bunch of first round picks in a heartbeat for Giannis if I were the Rockets. But I'm not the Rockets, and maybe the Rockets really really like their current roster that they don't want to break it up, such that Toronto ends up being the team with the best trade package. And OKC is already so good, they don't need Giannis to win, so let's just assume they won't be interested. Right? Right?
Also, I'm not so sure how I feel about the Warriors being in the run it back camp. I guess it depends on what they're trying to achieve, because I think if they run it back with the current roster, I don't think they have enough fire power to contend. I think acquiring a consistent, solid shooting guard would help a lot. Podziemski and Buddy both aren't cutting it at this point. I guess they both have the rest of the regular season next season to improve, but going for an upgrade with someone that can shoot 40% or higher in 3's would really help the offense. They should also sort out the Kuminga situation and make up their mind if they want to trade him or keep him; instead of just keeping him on the bench.
I didn't think Kuminga was enough to put them in the buyers or sellers group. Maybe he can be the core of a package that nets them another major contributor. In which case, they should be considered buyers.
I was just thinking that they're best off taking another swing with Steph, Draymond, and Jimmy as their core and then tinker with the rest of the roster around that.
