Officials say that the planned regulatory cuts “primarily target redundant and decade-old rules that have no real-life application” in order to save taxpayer money and “help streamline the Code of Federal Regulations by deleting over 73,000 words from the Federal Registry.”
Some of these rules are impossible to enforce! CDL drivers are to self report driving infractions (HAHAHA!) and vehicles required to stop before railroad tracks. Sometimes I think laws are easily written but only get enforced when it’s convenient or a lot of attention is paid to that specific law.
These rule changes (for the liberals) seem good. The rules are often written by people who may not even have the driving license...which is why it is (also) difficult to comply with some of them.
