True, but...
- meshtastic devices ara cheap,
- bluetooth chips on phones are not equal, so diminished reliability,
- bluetooth signal is easily jammable,
- there's a tendency to "steal" our privacy on phones by manufacturers and govts, so this also limits possible usage.
I might have jumped the gun with my comment, but in all seriousness I can't see it as more than a toy for peace times. For serious usage it's not enough.
We already have things like Meshtastic, with much bigger range, separate devices and bridges to our phones. Why create something inferior?
Good for them, but tbh Elon sniffs and the tables will turn. A lot. No need to make a celebration out of each purchase.
Btw. I think we're happy now, but most of companies buying BTC for their reserve will dump it when some crisis comes. I'll be waiting with my dirty fiat on the sidelines for that to happen to score some cheap sats.
I feel sorry for Ben, truly. Having said that, building a business on a platform someone else owns is asking for trouble. This ALWAYS happens. It's just a matter of time. I keep my fingers crossed for Ben because I love his channel, but I really hope when (not if) his channel is brought back, he'll take time to properly diversify his platforms.
Can't you just have two separate lawyers with one having 24 words and the next one having the seedphrase (both in tamperproof sealed envelopes) and sign some docs with both (but in a way they don't know about that) to give it to whomever you want on your confirmed death?
I'd commit seppuku. Mentally. Then improved my security and started over. 21M in 21Y. Sill got the time.
I'd love for it to happen, but 250k would be a stretch given how much money is required to move price up.
