Laid out very well, I am all for free trade as long as it doesn't harm others physically, and there is some semblance of a decent wage being offered for the goods and services being rendered.
Why change it now? This debate should be had in a bear market when the real bitcoiners are here to talk it through. This fight has been had and won. Unit bias is a real thing. I think we should leave it up to the apps to decide how they want to display the units. For example with strike you can pick to see it in sats or btc.
I look at fitness as the ability to do things around me with somewhat ease. It is easy to lose your fitness once you get it, but very hard to get it back. I think it is important to keep it heightened. I do regular walks everyday, several runs a week and class pass where I can.
practicing my poker game, and really grateful to be in this space. its been a really good sunday today :)
yea for real - I had no idea thats where it comes from. I'm actually going to lugano then to prague haha. Anyone from stacker news going to btc prague?
Great to see these moves for wasabi! Will Wasabi wallet be made available on the app store anytime this year? I would really like to use it on my apple device
Great post! Honestly I think toxicity has been a net negative for bitcoin, and I think we need more kindness in this world. Too much toxic or negativity is bad for the ecosystem.
My average credit card debt per month is about $1000 but I pay it off fully every month. I can't wait for this system to burn to the ground, credit cards are not good for society - as it encourages bringing consumption forward at the expense of tomorrow.
I think broad based tariffs will hurt us and the economy, although if there are specific countries where we can surgically target a specific industry or something that we want to reshore - there is alot of value in that.
This was literally my exact "regret". I know people that don't start traveling until they are retired though, so 26 is still pretty good! I definitely wish I left the nest sooner and started traveling. Nevertheless, I am on that travel kick now!
I never really traveled anywhere out of the country until I was 25/26. I'm currently 31, and ever since then I have traveled all over the world.
It has been something I love doing, and wish I would have started sooner. I'm still traveling, but eventually we are going to have kids and the Swiss/Croatian trips may slow down. All in all, that is one thing I would have ramped up more with hindsight. I think things have turned out pretty well though :)
While I would prefer one money for all, I think the most likely route is dual money. I can never see the state losing control of their shitcoin USD, and with that people will be spending the worse currency and saving the money/commodity that is bitcoin. Kind of like we have now. My opinion would change on this though if they started calling bitcoin money, removed cap gains taxes, and more avenues opened up to spend in bitcoin in the U.S.
It just hasn't happened yet, as much as I would like it to.
I think technology is advancing exponentially, and I think many jobs are at risk of being replaced because of this.
I've seen it with my own eyes, why hire 3-5 software engineers when I can hire an AI expert with coding experience, interface with an AI that can do the jobs of 5 for less money. We are living in a world where you can do alot more, with alot less - and this could cause unemployment to rise over the next several years.
Position yourself and learn AI. It really really is getting good.
One thing that has been concerning lately is if OpenSats receives a lot of money from Bitwise, and OpenSats contributes a lot of money to Bitcoin Core/core dev maintainers, couldn't there by a degree of influence on what gets pushed?
I know there is alot more that goes into it, but I know money can corrupt, and money can influence people to make decisions that are not in the best long term interest of bitcoin, rather a corporate interest.
Very cool, I was not happy to see Fortnite taken from the Apple store.
Apple is one of those companies that has gotten so big, that they are essentially a duopoly today. I'm a free market guy, but wow Apple can get so freaking greedy.
Sitting back, chilling & enjoying the day in AZ. I know that the weather is about to turn bad, so I am taking long walks or runs as I can.
