Pretty cool! In my hot yoga sessions I don't do anything with my fingers, I may incorporate some of these now and think about the meaning they offer
I think a long 8 mile run is one of the best workouts one can do. I also think it is about what you are trying to do with your body and what your goals are.
I have entirely stopped orange people over the past year. Maybe its just the point I am at in my bitcoin journey (5 years in now). My fiance is still trying to, and I know some people that do it - but at this point if you want to learn I will do everything I can to help you, but now I direct my time and efforts towards other endeavors.
Thanks for the read! I checked out the book on the Wayback machine, very cool how you dug deep into history to write this dissertation
I've noticed if I get less than 6-7 hours of sleep, my recovery time almost doubles. Garmin does a really good job of tracking light sleep, deep, REM, etc. I think lack of sleep is the worst thing one can do, I recommend getting a sleep tracker or a garmin if you want to track this stuff in detail
Hmm, I think over the long run a home gym is cheaper than a gym membership. For example I have been going to LA fitness for like 13 years now and probably have spent around $9,000. I know LA fitness is cheap compared to Lifetime, Villages, Equinox, etc - but it does add up.
Investing in health is key though!

Hahaha - Yea would be nice to have a $3M per month budget to invest in health/fitness. I think the movement is pretty cool. Investing in your health is so important though!
I added this to my cart, thanks for the recommendation :)
It is a really nice way for me to be alone with my thoughts, almost meditative at certain times. With the very long runs I catch up on certain podcasts i have been putting off (that I really want to get into).
I get very inspired on these runs, especially in scottsdale there are so many runners on the trails here it is nice to see so many people active, investing in their health & fitness..
I try to run 4-5 days a week, and sign up for at least 2-3 marathons/half marathons a year to stay motivated. I too have a horrible commute, but that can be changed by moving (in the process of). I end up running from 4:30 to 5:30, and afterwards will tend to go to the gym to focus on non cardio things.
I will say I reserve my long 8+ mile runs for the weekends as there isn't enough sunlight to do that on the work week. Having a Garmin was the best life decision I have ever made as it comes to running, because I have these challenges with friends and it is a fun way to stay motivated and competitive for our monthly goals.
There is definitely alot of fear right now when it comes to the airline industry. I know many people who used to travel regularly have slowed down due to all the incidents accross all the planes right now.
Homeownership has a lot to do with falling birth rates as well. If you are boomers sitting in a 5 bed 3 bath home on a 2.9% mortgage paying 1600 a month in Illinois, and want to downsize to a 2 bed 2 bath - you will pay much more to downsize in todays and last years market. Many people can't downsize that want to, and what is happening is young couples living in 1 bed 1 bath apartments can't move up in homes.
People in my age range have said to hell with it, i'm just not going to have kids because getting a home is so far out of reach for me - mine as well end the tree right here.
Compared to Bryan Johnson this is very small! As long as your are aware of what you are taking on to a T, I think it is fine to take all of these.
It gets dangerous when you start taking supplements and vitamins without knowing the second and third order effects decades down the road.
Curious if there are any book clubs here where readers of a certain book gather every month/quarter to discuss ideas and concepts of a particular book?
It really is a tough problem, but I think reducing regulation on building more homes, apartments, etc.
Honestly I am here in the Phoenix Valley and there are well over 50,000 houses for sale, so why should there be homeless people on the street - when many of these homes sit vacant for months and years on end. The solution is a return to sound money, but also flooding the market with more homes so people stop treating homes as a financial asset, and instead as a place to stay. These homes need to be used for utility value, not as a way to preserve wealth. Bitcoin fixes this, but also we need alot more supply (as it will drive existing home values down).
My routine is much smaller.
Wake up, run the coffee machine, shower, dress jump in the car, and commute for 30 min. I do listen to audible audiobooks on my morning drives - and I am always learning alot here.
While I do need a morning routine that rejuvenates me more, the audio book really is a strong way to start each day from my opinion!
What is crazy is it is now in Hollywood. All these fires Unfortunately, is almost symbolic of how the state has been run. It looks like a hellscape, and that is exactly how the state has been run the past couple decades. I love California and it breaks my heart to see it fall, but there needs to be a change for California to restore.
Did the government knock on SN door, or is this a proactive measure? I do think it is better safe than sorry..
Everyone is back at the office and miserable today. Grateful to have had alot of time off with family and loved ones. Can't wait to kill it this year at work, life, and athletics!
