Because for most people, bitcoin is gambling. They know nothing about bitcoin and they don't care. They buy bitcoin just want to be rich overnight, nothing else.

What kind of new hardware devices will emerge for Bitcoin in the next 5 years?

A non custodial wallet with full bitcoin node(699GB now) on a phone.

The Bitcoin Ecosystem Map is so good.
Blixt and Zeus are light end wallets. I mean we can have a bitcoin full node & lightning wallet on a phone. Need a phone with 2T storage maybe.

Now we have hardware wallets(Ledger, Trezor, Jade, etc) and bitcoin nodes(Start9, Umbrel, etc).
Maybe we can run lightning node on phones one day.
Are there any other interesting hardware devices out there nowadays?

Now, sphinx chat is built on Lightning. But it's not a protocol like Nostr, it's an app. 
Will an open protocol that is used for communication be built on Lightning possible? Third party applications can use this protocol to chat, stream, etc. And is it necessary to build a protocal like this?
