Reasons Fahrenheit is better:
- 100 is too hot to be outside for more than a few minutes, and it's around the hottest you can expect it to get during a year in most regions, with few exceptions.
- 0 is too cold to be outside more than a few minutes, no matter how many layers you put on. It's also about the coldest you can reasonably expect it to get during a year.
- 80 is 80% hot, and so on.
- On your home thermostat, there's a slighter difference between a single degree higher or lower. In Celsius a single degree is almost two whole degrees in Fahrenheit, so F is much more granular.
- Normal human body temperature is 98.6. So if it's over 100, it might be something to worry about.
If I were to steel man the Celsius scale, I'd say:
- At 0 you can expect snow and ice on the roads.
- You set your refrigerator and freezer temperatures to just above and below 0, respectively.
- At 100, water boils
Satoshi's vision to move the decimal place to whatever is equal to around 1 Euro confirmed! lol

His books are all open source, so you can download them for free. He just doesn't advertise it on his website.
Why would he theme the cover after his other non-fiction books? I think he should have at least drastically changed the background color to differentiate them.
I think Airpods allow you to listen to more than a single device within Apple's ecosystem.
In concept, all I want is to be able to listen to music from my phone, pause it, play something on Youtube on my PC, and not have to switch the Bluetooth connection in order to do it. It seems like everyone would want this.
Sometimes I literally wear both my Airpods and an over-ear headset, so I can listen to a podcast or audiobook and play a videogame at the same time.
My cold wallet does not support taproot, but at least one of my hot (phone, Lightning) wallets does. Maybe someday I'll switch my cold storage over to it -- probably whenever I get my Lightning node up and running.
It's the ratio of sats to CCs you've received. See Baby Stacker Corner #3.
Thanks for the welcome!
How did you find out about SN?
I don't remember how I found out about SN. I've been lurking around for a while. I remember seeing links on X, but I don't remember if that was my first exposure.
How difficult was it to get started? Any feedback?
Not difficult. There are a lot of options in Settings, which I can see how it could be overwhelming. But personally, I like the customizability.
How much experience do you have with lightning?
Quite a bit
Have you read the FAQ already?
Yes
Have you realized that you need to attach a wallet to receive sats?
Yes, I think SN was pretty clear on that.
Based on the title I expected this to be pedophilic/predatory in nature, but was relived that China was even more tyrannical than I thought they were.
