Great work. I agree with the sentiment of @Solomonsatoshi, but I also see the benefit of having something simple. What I do miss in the quiz is a question about how much trust one puts in the hardware provider. With a lot of trust it's ok to go for proprietary stuff and count on maintenance, limited surveillance and firmware updates. With minimal trust a completely open cold storage option, where no further economically/operationally motivated engagement with the selling party is needed after purchase, should be recommended.
Yeah, ok. I just tried that. Couldn't add our mint. It just says "Add Mint Failed. Please try again."
Looks like it isn't even trying, as I see nothing in the mint logs.
Yeah well, say what you will about iPhone. I have an iPhone 8 that some employer forced upon me. Wouldn't buy one for myself. A lot of people have iPhone where I live, and Apple is loved religiously by many. Surely we must be able to assimilate these plebs as well. :)
eNuts looked a bit promising, but they recently put out a message to not use it on iOS for a while as it's severely outdated and one may lose funds.
I have not. While I'm convinced that this would be easier or Android, I want to get as far as can go on iPhone. If it's not convenient there, it's a harder sell during on-boarding etc.
Well, you asked whether it was open and not whether it's in the foreground. So, the PWA is open but not in the foreground.
Is there a convenient work-around?
I wonder whether this is right, though. As far as I gather Zeus uses c-lightning-rest to communicate with CLN. And as far as I can see, the keysend there does not support descriptions.
I'll need to check deeper whether Zeus actually uses something else for sending keysends on CLN. But at first glance it doesn't look like it.
