Not sure, probably in the Alby "discover" page. Or nostr, who knows =)
Well, you're right. It's not easy to find a good balance in life. That said, I'm not sure if "being good" is something we choose all the time. Sometimes we have the choice, others we're forced into a difficult decision.
While we cannot accept deliberate aggression from others, there are moments that is simply better let it pass. Every decision holds a mix of inner fight between morals, dogma and conscience. But this is philosophical, sorry I'm going too far lol
Helping others is nice, I think. I like to do it sometimes. But some people do not deserve it, and we must understand and be prepared to not expect any recognition, it doesn't matter much in the end. Anyways, don't let the "good guy" in you die completely.
Also you talk about creating a false persona, that is really bad, I found myself in this situation many times as well. But being truly you requires some effort from time to time, and this is the lesson we learn.
Well, I found it more simple and quick than Odysee. It's hard to beat YT for content variety at this moment, but I'm pissed off with the stupid biased recommendations... You'll find nice "conspiracy" videos on Rumble, btw.
For Gmail alternatives I'm testing Tutanota and Proton. Both are kinda good, but with limitations for free accounts.
I didn't even try Gab and that stuff. Used Gettr for a week or two, but I'm not into this format anymore... These twitter clones are so distracting and twitter itself is a mess.
Can't give you an example, as generally power is also a form of wealth, I guess.
Wealth can buy almost anything, including hard power. But in some cases is not enough. Imagine, for example, that you have a considerable amount of fiat money, let's say, 20M. It'll bring inevitably some people to your side (employees, "friends", politicians and so on). On the other side, it can bring some enemies too.
Then, the ability to balance the number of tolerable "friends" and enemies will ultimately determine you power. If you have a lot of money and assets but no allies, you're doomed.
You can have billions, but if someone has just a few millions and a small army, you're doomed as well. Just notice how militia and cartel grows so fast, they certainly must be helped by other people with enough "soft" power (bureaucrats and scum).
I don't know anyone rich enough that hasn't a certain amount of power, or the contrary. Perhaps gurus and sect leaders, some of them have a little influence on a particular sphere, but not broadly.
I'm using duckduckgo for searching, even if it's not that thing.
Also, trying to watch more Rumble than YTshit lately (sometimes I use invidious too)
lnmarkets just for fun
nostr (coracle and primal)
blogstack.io
wavlake
I don't like reddit and any other regular social media site, it was annoying in mid 2000's, now it's unbearable.
I really enjoyed CD's. Unfortunately most that I owned got damaged. So, I like the size and overall sound quality, but the disc material sucks.
Great post. Thanks for sharing, didn't know this book. It can be a nice path to help on organizing topics to broadcast freedom ideas in the wild.
Maybe 5-6 years ago, after noticing the huge amount of data collected by mainstream platforms. Mostly I didn't care much because I couldn't imagine how badly my data was going to be used, as I'm not someone of public relevance, a mere joe, so.. why worry right? But after fraudemics definitely it turned into a main issue. I also remember IRC and ICQ times, and the good ole AudioGalaxy lol
It's really interesting to hear about these scams in other places. They're a bit different, but the core is much the same. Not to say that if you read a little about some mentors, there's no sign that any of them were entrepreneurs before, not in the strict sense of the word.
I applied to Y Combinator at least 10 times over the course of many years ...
At least in US there's such thing like YComb. In Brazil the best you can find are those shitty accelerators that offer 5k for 60% of your startup IF you're profitable already, what totally dismisses the point of being "accelerated", which means nothing in practice once you need the business skills to get help at, business skills.
But yeah, I wanted that too, at some extent =)
Even today, it's a bit hard for me to lower expectations. Work, relationships, life in general. I learned that even if everything is going well, there's a chance of failing. Enjoy the good moment, prepare for bad ones. And read between the lines, the untold truths.
Certainly is, but it's just one aspect of crimes, I guess. The evil starts with one people, and gains traction by hidden itself around ideas "for a greater good", this is how criminals (state) convince other idiots. Lately, the state name the worst of them as the main ruler. I mean, even Stalin had its enemies, so it's power is not absolute in any way. Where there's a dictator, there's even worse people behind.
Any of you using wavlake? I've published some tracks but there's something weird, only one receives sats. I know, taste is random but yet, others tracks have a bit more "quality" overall.
Unfortunately some people want to believe he's a saviour. I mean, in Brazil was the same with Bolsonaro and everything turned upside down. Not sure if everything is literally theater, but LAtam is going from bad to worse quickly. Basically people cannot trust in courts, judges, physicians, so what's left? Politicians, as a salvation board.
But ya, fuck em all.
Rewriting "It's this small bit of recognization on very step you do into this world..."
to
"This small bit of recognization is the first step into this world..."
I was probably thinking two things at the same time and messed up. Sorry.
I got it! my bad, was referring to tech stack lmao
of course we shouldn't say a word about our money stack, ancient knowledge =)
