What if aliens aren't extraterrestrial… but exohuman?

Aliens aren't from another galaxy. They're from here  either from a different time or a breakaway human civilization that diverged from ours long ago.
Think about it:
Why do their crafts seemingly defy the physics we understand?
Why are most sightings just out of reach visible, but rarely clearly documented?
Why do they appear to monitor our nuclear sites, military zones, or key technological areas?
What if they know exactly how we think and perceive… because they are (or were) us?
This "exohuman" theory could explain:

The striking similarities between modern encounters and ancient myths (gods, angels, djinn, etc.)

Their uncanny ability to stay hidden, yet present

The reason they never make overt contact  maybe they can’t, or maybe it’s by design

Not saying I’m fully sold, but the idea that they evolved alongside (or underneath?) us, or exist in a parallel version of Earth, feels oddly more grounded than the "ETs from Zeta Reticuli" narrative.

Curious what others here think. Does the exohuman hypothesis make more sense than extraterrestrials? Or is this just another layer of the unknown?

This spiritualist vision also arises from the broader reaction of the century against the positivism of a weak and materialist West. It is anti-positivist, yet positive: neither skeptical, nor agnostic, nor pessimistic, nor passively optimistic, as are most doctrines that place the center of life outside of man himself. Man can and must, through his own free will, shape his world. Fascism envisions a man who is active and engaged, fully investing his energy in action, consciously aware of hardship and prepared to confront it. It sees life as a struggle and believes that it is up to man to win a life truly worthy of him, by first forging within himself the tools—physical, moral, intellectual—with which to build it. This applies not only to the individual but also to the nation and to humanity as a whole.

Hence the high value placed on culture in all its forms—art, religion, science—and the tremendous importance of education. Hence also the essential value of work, through which man conquers nature and creates the human world: economic, political, moral, and intellectual.

This positive view of life is, fundamentally, an ethical one. It encompasses all of reality, as well as the human activity that seeks to master it. No action escapes moral judgment; nothing in the world can be separated from the values that must be attributed to it in relation to moral ends.

Thus, as conceived by the fascist, life is serious, austere, religious—entirely centered in a world upheld by the moral and responsible forces of the spirit. Fascism rejects the comfortable life.

I've noticed an interesting contradiction: while modern medicine recommends cutting salt, traditional cultures with remarkable longevity naturally incorporate it into their diets.
In Japan, despite abundant use of shoyu and miso, the population maintains enviable life expectancy. Across various regions, less processed salts like fleur de sel have been used for generations.
The difference seems to lie in context: refined industrial salt added excessively to ultra-processed foods versus quality salt in home-cooked meals based on natural ingredients.
Perhaps the solution isn't eliminating salt altogether, but rather reducing processed foods, choosing less refined salts, and using it mindfully to enhance the flavor of real food.
