This song is Julian's magnum opus, I love seeing fellow voidz fans in the wild. If I had to pick a favorite guitar solo it would either be this one or the one earlier in the song. Though theres lots of great ones in these comments
Oh i love kintsugi! It must’ve been fun to give it a shot. I’m terrible with all things pottery and ceramics.
She did, its a very sad story and I mourn the beautiful writing the world missed out on.
@siggy47 you are in good company!
This is it exactly, yes. Allowing people of any age to transition (socially, not medically, which is a huge distinction that is often not conveyed by right media) is directly in the spirit of personal freedom. Just because children are children does not mean they shouldn’t have any say in their own lives and identity. And it certainly doesn’t make them abnormal, I think that phrasing is ugly and dehumanizing.
I don’t this idea that transgender people need to be quiet about who they are to be valid in their identity is true. Just as there are people who are loud sports fans, there are people who engage more quietly. They’re all sports fans.
I do think this sentiment about AOC is important though, as it speaks to how inauthentic left politicians are. The pronouns cater to a particular group she wants to align with, and when this no longer serves her she can remove them as she pleases. This identity swapping is something that legitimate members of a group cannot do. One cannot remove their queerness, just as one cannot make themselves queer.
I’m probably an example of think of when they imagine a leftist, though I don’t like to hard align myself with any particular political ideology and I’m constantly also looking to find common ground. I don’t find arguing over politics to be as rewarding as I once did, now I see it more as everyone vs the government as opposed to left vs right.
But I’ve always more or less believed that most people mean well. In my personal life I address people as they would like to be addressed, as to me it seems the bare minimum. We have so little control over so many things in our lives, personal identity should always be in the hands of the individual.
I’m aware many will probably disagree with some of my stances, but I hope you will take them with the light heartednedd I intended. I am always open to discussion and learning.
I think there’s a lot of information about what people should eat put out by people who have a lot to gain (monetarily) if you take their advice. That’s not to say any of those foods are bad, I love quinoa and açaí. Are they “super” though? Probably not.
I’ve seen people fall down this rabbit hole and what I’ve found the best advice to give and to follow is to just eat what makes you feel good, which in my life includes a bit of everything. It’s not good to eat sugar all day just as it’s not good to eat vegetables all day.
I’m no expert, but I’ve settled into a place where I’m happy. As long as I have the energy for the things that I love (yoga and hiking) I consider myself aye-okay.
Probiotics are super helpful though, they happen to make my life easier lol.
I’ve always been the type of person to absolutely need to rant about the books I read, whether I love them or hate them lol.
No I'm not too familiar with Dragon Ball Z, happy coincidence!
I'm enjoying my time here so far, thanks for the welcome!
Awesome! I look forward to seeing your posts :)
I sell art, candles, and jewerly. It's all handmade and quite the labor of love but I'm happy to do it
Oh I'm so glad to hear you liked a lot of them, Speak is such a hidden gem in my opinion. Definitely a tough read emotionally but well worth it. I haven't read Tartt's other books yet, but I need to/
