Isn't 20 km a bit too far?
There simply is no better wallet/node management app for advanced and pro users.
And since the embedded node was introduced a while back, beginners can also take part in a very smooth and seamless app.
I forgot the exact place, but it was definitely in Germany.
The thing is, how often did you try pressing the button twice after pressing it by mistake? Maybe there are some where you can long press too to cancel, I don't know. We should all try it more often :D
The software on the server needs to be able to decrypt the data which users are sending, otherwise it cannot analyze.
The software needs data inputs, the company doesn't.
So there are 2 solutions for this:
- Run it locally. But there is an issue with computing power (it get's better, but I don't know what the limits will be).
- Send data (encrypted of course) to a stronger machine (server), let it do the analyzing and output creation, send results back (encrypted of course) and then delete everything on the server. But 2 issues here:
- You have to trust that data and results will really be deleted.
- You have to trust no data is leaked anywhere between.
The better those videos become, the more people will fall for fake videos. That's a nobrainer. So we need better education/awareness, but that takes time. More than developing AI, at least that's likely.
So far you can almost always see little details which make it obvious that a video is AI generated. Question is: Will this change? Many people are convinced it will, I am not 100% sure. The improvements we saw, e.g. with Sora now, are definitely amazing, but you can see the exact same issues like before: Weird details which make it very obvious that it is AI generated - if you watch carefully.
Question really is, will it be possible to use such assistants without any privacy issues...? The reason why I personally do not use ANY google or samsung or whatever assistants is, because I don't want any company to analyze my data/behaviour.
I wonder what are the arguments behind
- boltz.exchange dropping BTC/XMR swaps some time ago
- Samourai now implementing BTC/XMR swaps in their wallet
Does boltz.exchange think that BTC/Lightning swaps bring the same privacy benefit and therefore XMR is simply not needed anymore?
Does Samourai think that BTC/XMR swaps are superior in any way compared to BTC/Lightning swaps?
Why not post the original source? https://www.destatis.de/DE/Presse/Pressemitteilungen/2023/11/PD23_425_51.html
When you zoom out, it is not that bad. But yeah, not good at all either.
Interesting! If that is true, that would be pretty awesome! I guess @acceptLN can clarify how they do it.
Great idea and thank you for building stuff for Bitcoin adoption!
I can see 1 general issue:
As far as I understand it, the sender has to enter the email address of the recipient on your website to make it work. That means you are storing a lot of email addresses which turns you into a honeypot for hackers to collect emails (for sending scam & spam). I personally would also be pissed when somebody puts my (so far spamfree) email on some list without my permission (of course I can never prevent that from happening, but you kind of incentivize people to do so).
If you continue to have problems don't hesitate to ask in the Breez telegram group, they help fast: https://t.me/breez_lightning
And of course, ignore all the DMs from scammers, which will definitely reach you when you ask a question in the public group :)
- Making PRs for Zeus wallet
- Finishing my candy dispenser that gives you candy when you pay with Lightning (waiting for rgb LEDs delivery, then making transistor circuit for them)
Right, things change fast. Zeus as an example works with 2 different LSPs: OLYMPUS by Zeus (https://0conf.lnolymp.us) and Voltage (https://lsp.voltageapi.com). Users can decide and switch as they like.
