True. I hope that we can agree that for future growth, it's almost always better to not be banned from a market, though?
Sure but Deutsche Bank is exploring issuing a stablecoin. I am sure other European banks will too. We will see. Your nym fits because I think you are being optimistic for Circle's prospects.

My nym is sarcastic. I'm actually not optimistic for Circle or Deutsche because if I can have it my way, they will eventually be obsolete, and that would be good riddance.

I can't stand Circle or Jeremy Allaire. I think USDC its a stupid CBDC proxy and he is a garbage human. I am trying to be objective though and just look at the numbers and the numbers say unless there is a massive stablecoin boom and USDC gets a large chunk of market share, they are way overvalued.

Same. I'm mostly just playing devil's advocate on this one because I think we can't really predict what's going to happen. As cringe as it is, politicians are pushing stablecoins right now, and it can go either way on their little law, on the subsequent race, on the execution, on the public adoption of whatever the supreme leaders want, and if that is sustainable long term. Too many variables; with time we will learn more.
That said, I have zero financial or emotional investment in any of these guys. I do think that some crisis is inevitable and when it happens I will be sad for everyone that suffers for it, because it won't be the politicians or the bankers that suffer most.
