A series of centuries-old buildings in Shanghai, China, have been relocated to their original location with the help of 400 perfectly aligned transport robots. Weighing 7,500 tons, the structure, built in the 1920s and 1930s, was carried from one location to another.
The buildings had been removed to accommodate underground construction. Work to relocate the building complex began on May 19 with a total of 432 crawler transport robots.
They were moved about 10 meters per day. In a time-lapse video, it is possible to see how the buildings were moved.
