Proof of reserves should be a virtue. It's a core Bitcoin ethos principle. Companies/governments/institutions not doing it should NOT be trusted with a single Sat by virtuous individuals.
I own a Bitcoin spot ETF in my retirement account. It publishes its public addresses. It publishes proof of reserves. I do NOT buy ETF's that don't publish. It's a matter of principle.
