The Las Vegas Loop, Elon Musk’s Boring Company project, continues expanding its underground transit system beneath Sin City. As of mid 2025, new stations have been completed at Westgate and Encore, with further tunneling in progress toward Harry Reid International Airport, aiming for operational readiness by late 2025 or early 2026.
Currently, the system connects over 15 active stations, including the Las Vegas Convention Center, Resorts World, and Allegiant Stadium. When complete, the Loop is expected to span 65+ miles with over 60 stations, making it one of the most ambitious private transportation projects in the U.S.
Unlike traditional public transit, the Vegas Loop uses Tesla vehicles in underground tunnels, offering a quieter, faster, and weather-proof option for navigating the Strip and beyond.

💬 Discussion:
How will this expansion impact tourism, traffic congestion, and the overall transportation landscape in Las Vegas? Could this model be viable in other cities, or is it uniquely suited to Vegas?
