Yeah, that's fair. I just can't abide the sky is falling over-reactions which seem to be more and more common. I guess people think they need to be like to get attention. 

Most of the spam talk (which I don't want to discount because I think some of it is in good faith) is from a particular camp of bitcoiners that mostly reside on X afaict. So if you aren't following them, or the people arguing with them, you'll miss it.

Where is all the spam talk(to be fair, I have largely ignored it)? Bitcoiners are special people. You can have losing their minds about nothing in the mempools and the mempools being filled with spam in the same month.
