Lost my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra today at the supermarket. Set it down to snap a pic for X, and within seconds, it was gone. Suspect a homeless guy near the door took it.

Confronted him, but he denied it. Later saw him again, asked for my phone, and he pulled a knife, threatening to stab me.

Had to walk away—past trauma with police in Jamaica (PTSD from their abuse) means I can’t call them.

That $2,000 phone was my work tool, and I saved 2 years to buy it for my birthday last year. Gone in a flash. Can’t track it due to VPN and low battery.

Feeling crushed, but I know I did the right thing avoiding violence. Hope that guy finds some joy in it. Now I’m stuck, as all my work platforms ran on that phone.

No way I can afford another one. Just gotta keep moving forward despite the trauma.
