These power rankings outside of the top 5 are kinda wild.
For instance, you have Seattle at 8 and Houston at 12 even though Houston is just a half a game behind and won three of four from Seattle over the weekend. Then you have teams like San Diego and San Francisco that are both struggling this last week and they are listed at 7 and 9 respectively. Well San Diego's only scored 18 more runs then they have given up.... that puts them in the Boston and Tampa Bay bracket.... and Boston is ranked 18 Tampa Bay is 16th and Tampa Bay has flipped their season around going 12 - 6 in the last few weeks. Then going back to San Diego they have gone 11 - 12 this month so its not like they have been exactly crushing it the last few weeks especially for a top 10 team.
For rankings to be weekly its my thing that they should move around more than what they are. I mean the Phillies.... the number 1 team in the rankings has a +44 run differential which places them 6th and behind the Cardinals who are ranked at number 10. The Philly expected record is 31-23 when Houston is at 12 with an expected record of 32-23 and I am not even saying Houston should be in the top 5!

The league has a lot of parity this year. Even the elite teams haven’t been as good as I expected them to be. It will be a fun trade deadline. Every good team has holes.

Its also the teams who dont have holes I thought they would.... Houston has a decent outfield somehow. The White Sox actually have some pretty decent starters. The Rangers still suck amazingly lol

I expected the Rangers to be better. Especially since DeGrom has been healthy so far.

I don’t mind having the Phillies first if we are going to base it on who is playing the best right now but then you should definitely knock the padres, mariners down a bit. I think the Red Sox are too low. Braves as well. They have played well since their rocky start. I would have the Jays a bit higher as well but not much.
Maybe will do my 1/3 through the season power rankings tomorrow.

Oh man I didnt even think of the Braves but YES! They were 5 - 13 starting out!!!
To me the whole issue was there didnt seem to be a consistent way the teams were ranked when you looked at all the different factors at play. The NL West over the last 10 games all have a losing record except for the Dodgers who are 5-5.
You look at teams with injuries who have players returning you have the Braves, part of the reason I think they are turning it around, and the Astros. The Dodgers are able to stay afloat because of their offense and having Mookie Betts be one of the WORST hitters on your team is a WILD thing
