"Technology promises freedom... but historically, it's been a tool of control."
We celebrate every new technological breakthrough like it’s a step toward human liberation. But is it really? Or are we just swapping one set of chains for another, shinier version?
Governments, corporations, and empires have always used the latest tech—not to set people free—but to monitor, manipulate, and control. From the printing press to social media… from fiat money to CBDCs… the pattern repeats.
Are we blindly marching into a digital panopticon while calling it "progress"?
💠Let’s talk:
Is technology inherently liberating, or just a more sophisticated leash?
Can decentralization (Bitcoin, open source, etc.) actually break this cycle?
Or will it eventually be co-opted like every tool before it?
