Love this framing. Soul is what draws early users in, but scale is what keeps the business alive. The challenge is not losing that soul as you grow.

One of the assumptions we seem having today is that a product, to be successful, need to scale. Is it really true?
There are plenty of organizations that hare successfully satisfying specific needs in specific areas. They aim to keep it small, sustainable, for the long run, ideally for ever...
They firmly avoid the growth step in the S curve, keep the product or service steady, comfortably satisfy a small amount of users, choosing to provide them with quality, not quantity.
