Hahaha! Just listening to both of you now. I can't stop smiling while you talk about how exciting soccer is.
I must admit that the two matches this week weren't good. I may say that they were boring for an independent fan. Next week's PSG vs Inter should be a good one. It's the top competition in Europe.
I will be watching. Well, listening at least to see if anything exciting happens so I can trade accordingly on Predyx.

I will try listening and test the theory that this sport is more exciting when you can't see it.

Now that you bring this, I remember listening to the radio as a kid while my team was playing. At that time, matches weren't available live on TV so you only could listen to them in the radio.
Matchs looked like very intense and enjoyable just listening to the radio commentator . At night, you could watch the highlights in the sports program. You could imagine how disappointed I was most of the time as the highlights were only 2-3 minutes out of 90 minutes. These days you can watch most of them and, to be honest, some of them are quite boring.

When I was a kid I used to listen to hockey and baseball games on the radio before I went to sleep. I still like listening to baseball on the radio.

Baseball is another sport for radio.

Opposite to these sports is basketball. Too chaotic to listen to it in the radio. Much better watch it.

I used to listen to Canucks games occasionally on the radio during the late 2000s early 2010s when they were good. I was surprised at how quiet the arena could sometime get when I went to my first Canucks game. And watching the game in person without the play by play commentary just feels that something is missing.

I like the sounds of live hockey. The blades scraping against the ice, the players crashing into the boards.
