I have been playing around with the Stitch AI tool @k00b posted about the other day and it is not bad in terms of image generation but it completely sucks in terms of editing. It usually doesn't carry out the edits you request and if it does it screws something else up in the process.
Anyways, here is what the AI and I have come up with so far.
It is giving me a hard time changing the font, colour and sizing of Stacker News. It says it knows what lightningvolt font is but any time I prompt for it, it just reverts back to this. It would be cool if Stacker News could be a bit bigger and in lightningvolt. I think that would be eye catching but I will leave it up to the designers on SN to decide how best to move forward.
Best iteration of this ad as voted by Me wins 10k sats. I will pick a winner Monday morning.

This would be great to post on Reddit

Yeah, I've been trying to get to the point where I can actually post something there without getting auto-banned.
Still haven't figured it out...

This didn't win but I like the direction you are going here. Maybe we should do another bounty based on this one for next week. Zapped 1k sats for second place.

Thanks! Sadly, I'm not too sure that such images will really drive that much traffic to SN...and I say this as a guy who spends WAY too much time making images like this. Never hurts to try, though.
I'd contribute some sats to a bounty that rewards the SN ad that gets the most engagement on some other platform. But we need to think about how to do it.

Good submissions but they did not win. I think the first one is the best one. Would have liked to see SN featured more prominently and a learn more button but overall great job.

Regenerate this image of an Arizona Mesa landscape but with the text “Stacker News” in HUGE MASSIVE DOMINATING size in lightningvolt font where it takes up the whole image. Also include the text “Cowboys of the New Frontier” and a yellow “Learn More” button. Give four complete images

These were cool but did not win. I do like the idea of the electric lettering for SN in the second and third one. With some tweaking I think these can be quite good. 100 sats for effort.

Nice. Definite improvement over the original and your first one.

Might also be cool with a cowboy in the picture:
(rough draft)

Cowboy could be a whole new theme. Have a it.
reply
Do you have the image with higher quality?
reply
This is what I saved from the AI. This is all I have.
reply
do you want to keep the massive dark frame too?
reply
No that's how it saved. Have at it. You can start from scratch if you like.
This is what the AI gave me after prompts for idea, theme, colours, text etc but as mentioned it wouldn't let me edit properly. It gave an option to copy to figma which I tried but part of the graphic got cut off when I tried to copy to figma (which I signed up for but have no idea how to use).

So you like the image? What about a photo instead? Can I ask where you will use it?
reply
This is the winner. Congrats. I like the use of black for SN and rearranging the SN with the tagline so SN is more featured.
Thanks.
it's meant to be a web/social media ad.
Congrats @DeSign_r ! You deserve it! Btw @grayruby ...this bounty was a very noble gesture from you. Congrats to you too!

Thanks. I think SN growth shouldn’t be a one person effort but a community effort.
