Watched my English class perform their drama skit today. Wrote the following for them as a way to revise collocations.

“Geez! I’m late!” Mr Heng whispered to himself. It was 2.25pm, and his beloved English class, 2T7, was performing their drama showcase.

He quickened his steps towards the Drama Room. He thought that being physically present might be useful for some of his students. He arrived in the nick of time. They were in the middle of their act, venturing out of their comfort zone to perform their role.

There was no awkward tension. Everyone worked well together like well-oiled parts of a bike. It was heartwarming to witness their mindful approach since they didn’t make any mistakes. The performance benefitted from their strong friendships. Everyone lent a helping hand to make it work.

In a blink of an eye, they ended their performance. Mr Heng didn’t want to give empty praise, so he mentioned about them not maintaining eye contact. Nonetheless, their incredible performance left a deep impression on him. He would remember these shared moments.
