A while ago, I designed this invisible book stage. After a couple months of iterating on the design, the first batch is now available.
The entire stage is made of a single 2mm sheet of stainless steel, bead blasted and hand finished for a smooth, matte texture.

So that's what that thing was. Unfortunately, I have no idea what a book stage is
A place to stage your books, as opposed to a book shelf which is a place to shelve your books.
