Parenting is quite monotonous. Every day seems like the other.
And then you suddenly have days like this, in which your children achieve several milestones at once.
My son lifted his sister off the public bus because I was carrying all their bags and struggling to take out my bus card. Since when did he have the strength to carry someone?
He then ate shinmeiji mushrooms for the first time. He hates vegetables, so this is a Mount Everest-worthy fest.
My daughter went to her brother’s potty training toilet seat on her own accord and peed for the first time. Great initiative (and control!) from a 2-year-old.
Hopefully, the truism of gradually then suddenly will be manifested for me.
