It will be open sourced after the beta period. Now I also have a way myself to create an anonymous GitHub account to publish it :-)
Your connection to the server is E2E encrypted. The email contents are not encrypted by default, that's how the email protocol works... You can see some more details and countermeasures here: #983517
I'm not a fed and not looking to attract their attention. The server does not even keep a record of the IP addresses of the requests. It's also in my best interest to keep as little data as possible.
