If not intentional, it points to the emotional state of the writer, one I can uniquely understand. He has emptied himself of all feeling in a crashing wave of words, buzzing on a different frequency. A buzz that will remain with him for about a week, I would guess. This can explain a tiny lapse of care for punctuation at a critical place in the article.
