I can't believe they've already onboarded 26 million people. That's a lot of personal data at stake. Are we really willing to sacrifice our privacy for convenience?
These "users" are largely located in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. This is because the company started testing for its project there a few years ago, in regions where people often have fewer legal protections.
Many have said this before and I agree, in these areas you will find some of the poorest people. I don't think these people are thinking about the long term downsides of their actions. They are thinking short term and many were paid with his shitcoin. So I think there's two parts. Ignorance and immediate needs for money.
And yes, even in wealthy countries people are willing to sacrifice privacy for convenience. That's the majority of people.

Indeed, and often this gets called capitalism. Its just humans taking advantage of other humans. Satan uses people in high places to do unbelievable harm to God's creation. Whether it is Stalin experimenting with socialism on the people under his control, or corporations destroying the lands of people across the globe, or empires throughout history that enslave their citizens to fight for their wealth. Its all evil.
