I just wanted to say... it is clear that 'witness data' to include 'arbitrary witness data'... isn't non-standard right?
A 'jpeg' or especially 'a memecoin' doesn't actually exist. Tick: memcoin. Op: Create. Number: 5 doesn't mean that a memecoin is actually created. It's just a Bitcoin UTXO everything else is... total nonsense it just is.
Eventually the people doing this arbitrary data will run out of money, realize it's unprofitable get bored and move on. And Spot Bitcoin will always be Spot Bitcoin the end.
Yes, I realize that there are many ways to to embed arbitrary data in a standard transaction (although I'm unfamiliar with the details). Of course, it doesn't follow that therefore it's ok to relax constraints on what is non-standard.
Your last paragraph seems reasonable (even likely) to me. I would just rather not count on it.
