I think that Lucas has probably thrown up his hands in disgust at what has happened to his grand story. His parts were magnificent, the earlier parts better than the later parts, though. When he sold his baby, I think he permanently said good-bye to it.

ya Disney really lost an entire generation who loved that franchise, it's too bad they just can't bring back Lucas to fix it all

I gave up watching any *Star Wars* movies and spin-offs precisely because of the ***Disney*** bullshit. 
I don’t want to see it. I don’t want to see any of it because of that.
I don’t care what the story or the meaning is anymore.
Reading a saga called *Dune* is much more worth while.
