pull down to refresh

Bitcoin Core 29.0 was released before the debate about OP_RETURN started. The change discussed in the pull request would be released with Bitcoin Core 30.0 in October at the earliest if it gets merged.

Thanks for the heads up! Any reason I shouldn’t upgrade to 29 then?

If the loosening of the OP_RETURN limit was your main concern, that concern does not apply Bitcoin Core 29.0. I’m not aware of any other changes that are considered controversial, but I don’t know what criteria you have, so you may want to peruse the release notes yourself: https://bitcoincore.org/en/releases/29.0/

Yeah, I looked over the notes initially and they seemed pretty vanilla, but I’m not the most technical guy.
I don’t even know where I stand on the OP_RETURN limit removal stuff yet. I just don’t want to commit to the change until I know for sure.
